Amira Gad (Chair)
Amira Gad is an independent curator and writer based in Rotterdam. She is Curator at Large, Arts Technologies at KANAL-Centre Pompidou in Brussels. Previously, she was Head of Programmes at Berlin's LAS Art Foundation and curator at Serpentine Galleries (London) and Kunstinstituut Melly (Rotterdam). Gad has curated notable exhibitions and been part of juries like the Oskár Čepan Award and Prix de Rome. She contributes to artists’ catalogues, has edited books on contemporary art, and sits on the boards of Rib Art Space and Extra Extra magazine.
Merve Bedir (Secretary)
Merve Bedir investigates infrastructures of hospitality and mobility, human and non-human relations with respect to ecology and cybernetics, and migration. She co-founded Aformal Academy (an experimental school in the Pearl River Delta), Mutfak Workshop (Gaziantep), and the Center for Spatial Justice (Istanbul). She has taught at Hong Kong University, Columbia GSAPP, and TUDelft, and presented at locations like the Smithsonian Design Museum, and the Venice Architecture Biennale. Until 2025, she is a researcher at Common Ground in Merwede.
Leon Joanknecht
Leon Joanknecht studied Business Administration (MScBA) at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He worked as a consultant on public sector change projects and as a manager in international business. He founded Filmfabriek, a Dutch film digitization company, and Filmkapitaal, aiming to preserve film archives for future generations. He was chairman of the art committee at Robeco (2013–15) and involved with Limits to Earth Foundation, providing interest-free microcredit. Since 1 July 2019, Joanknecht is treasurer of Rib Art Space.
Korrie Louwes (General)
Korrie Louwes studied history at Leiden University. From 1990 to 2010, she worked for the ministries of General Affairs, Finance, Economic Affairs and Social Affairs and Employment. She was appointed Alderman for Labor Market, Higher Education, Innovation and Participation of the Municipality of Rotterdam (D66) until May 2014 and then worked at Berenschot as Senior Managing Consultant. From 2018 to 2021, she served as Chief Inspector of the Inspectorate for Healthcare and Youth and since then as General Director for Education, Culture and Welfare of the Municipality of The Hague.
Suzanne Sanders (General)
Suzanne Sanders is an independent curator, researcher, and consultant specializing in cross-domain collaboration in the cultural field. She develops contemporary practices based on equality and generosity. Co-founder of Gemene Grond, a commons art program in Utrecht, and City Curator in Amsterdam, she has worked with Public Art Amsterdam, the Frankendael Foundation, Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Museum Boijmans van Beuningen, Zentrum für Kunst und Urbanistik, Frans Hals Museum, and the Brakke Grond.
