Drawing Session #1
Rib Drawing Sessions over two afternoons

You are invited to participate in a drawing afternoon where we will copy portraits drawn by Shahin Afrassiabi of Francis Bacon’s face, based on a photograph by Francis Goodman (1971). We will draw and multiply Bacon’s face as a ritual to empty out the persona of the artist and transfer our projections onto the drawing paper. Your drawings will be then presented in Rib as part of the exhibition.
It will be a cozy and informal afternoon where we can meet and converse and have a drink too. Everybody is welcome and no previous drawing skills are required, only a willingness to observe and draw your observations. No drawing instructor will be present.
