Tijdens de drie dagen van Het Zuid Manifest: I Love Carlos rijdt er een “clandestiene” taxi service rond die wordt gerund door bewoners uit Charlois in hun priveauto’s. Chauffeurs zijn gidsen en gesprekspartners voor zowel locals als bezoekers van Charlois. Elke rit is een andere reis. Chauffeurs zetten je af op een van de locaties van Het Zuid Manifest - je mag zelf kiezen welke - terwijl zij hun persoonlijke verhaal vertellen en perspectief op Charlois delen. Als je Shimmer als locatie kiest, kan je naar een playlist van The Library of Unread Books geïnitieerd door Heman Chong luisteren terwijl je naar een speciale plek aan de haven wordt gebracht.

Het vertrekpunt van de taxi is voor Autogarage Musa aan de Karel de Stoutestraat 8a (om de hoek bij Rib).
Taxi Travis rijdt van 28 tot en met 30 maart.
Elke dag vinden de ritten plaats in twee tijdsblokken.

De taxi service is gratis, maar de chauffeur een fooi geven mag natuurlijk altijd.

Taxi Travis staat volledig op de deelname en inbreng van bewoners.

Op zondag 23 maart van 14:00 tot 16:00 is er een deelnemersbijeenkomst bij Koffie & Ambacht (Ebenhaëzerstraat 52a). We leren elkaar kennen, bespreken de routes en beantwoorden vragen die je wellicht nog hebt.

De taxi service is ontwikkeld in samenwerking met kunstenaar Parel Strik en onderzoeker en curator Merit Zimmermann.

During the three days of Het Zuid Manifest: I Love Carlos a “clandestine” taxi service is run by Charlois residents in their private cars. Drivers are guides and conversation partners for both locals and visitors to Charlois. Each ride is a different journey. Drivers drop you off at one of the locations of Het Zuid Manifest - you can choose which one - while they share their personal story and perspective on Charlois. If you choose Shimmer as your destination, you can listen to a playlist by The Library of Unread Books initiated by Heman Chong and Renee Staal while you're being driven to a special spot at the harbour.

The departure point for the taxi is in front of Autogarage Musa at Karel de Stoutestraat 8a (around the corner from Rib).
Taxi Travis will be driving from 28 to 30 March.
Every day the rides take place in two time slots.
